Peter the Golden Boy!

Peter turned 31 on the 31st this year, also known as his Golden Birthday!  Austin and I also have ours this year- must be a good thing, right? Lots of gold coming our way! ;)  I don't think I'll ever forget this birthday of his, since I'll have a scar to remember it by. (Note to self- hot glue gun glue drips off pipe cleaner!  Austin has had a good time watching my burn through the healing process, and I have gained a scant amount of appreciation for the awful pain people go through when they are burned over their whole bodies!)  On a much better note, Peter got a new suit and shirts, tickets for us to go see White Christmas at Segerstrom in December, multi-colored licorice from Austin, and a jar full of 31 chocolates with words printed on them that complete the phrase "Peter is the world's best _______."

Margie and Steve happen to conveniently be down here at their time share in Carlsbad, so they came up for Peter's birthday to celebrate and take the kids Trick-or-Treating around our neighborhood with the Jensens. Nona is the Littlest Pumpkin in the Patch. ;)
Here we have a lady bug, super hero, cowboy, and Pipi Longsticking!
And a dragon eyeing a pumpkin...a tasty treat!

Some of our favorite neighbors: Miss Erin and Michelle. Our other neighbor, Wes, made each of the kids on our block (11 total) their own wooden Bug House in his garage shop.  I'll have to post a picture...Amazing!
We completed the night with some cheese cake and candles and a game of Truco (a brazilian card game) which the ladies won! Thanks guys! Happy Birthday Peter!!!!

Sure was fun to share the occasion with you! Oh, but I'm sorry to hear about your glue gun burn. Those are NOT FUN!!! I know all too well.

Ouch. I just burned myself the other day too with a hot glue gun. Seriously, those things can singe skin off. It hurt. Bad. I will keep in mind that hot glue drips off pipe cleaners!:)

That's so fun that Peter finally had his golden birthday! I'll be he's waited his whole life for that one!

Gabe makes such a cute cowboy! Cute cute kids, Abs!

Nona is so beautiful! So fun to see the Halloween pics. My kids didn't even get costumes this year... but they did get France!
